Hardcore VB
Sorry I don’t have anything meaningful to post today. I’m just linking to this free book about Visual Basic 5 so I can read it when I get time. Okay, you can read it too.

For those of you have sent me suggestions, thanks. I’m working through them and will post them when I get time. My lack of meaningful content isn’t because it’s not there, it’s because I don’t have time to write it.

I think the 3rd ed is here: http://brucem.mystarband.net/mckinney.htm

Jamie Collins:
Ross, That’s a great link. I’m not sure I’d describe it as the 3rd ed, more like a critique of VB. Even the ‘Corrections and Additions’ is refreshingly lacking in objectivity. Thanks for a truly fun read!
Jamie.

Hi Dick,
26 February 2005, 1:35 pmSorry to butt in but this site carries a credit for the Gemini template of which I am the author. Unfortunately (possibly during your move to menu left) the CSS positioning has become very misdiscombulated and your blog now has a *gasp* OMG no: FOOTER OVERRUN. Just thought I would mention it. Good luck.
Dick:
Root: First, thanks for the template. I can see what you’re saying, but I’m not sure what to do about it.

As I thought. You could not resist a bit of hacking. Your menu is now positioned absolute whereas it started out as float. Putting it back will fix your footer for the time being. Is this what MS call embracing and extending ?
I am suprised my computer hasnt crashed yet
